Registration is closed. Check back in here in late June for possible openings for July. This summer Bursting Blooms Homestead is excited to announce the Bookworm Club for children in grades K-2nd grade. We want all to thrive at the homestead whether that is flowers or children, so this summer we are inviting your child to come and cultivate a love for learning through reading in the garden. This club will have a balance of learning to read through formal curriculum instruction, and fun indoor/outdoor educational activities. We will meet weekly on Wednesdays from 9:30-12:00 during June and July. Meeting weekly throughout the summer will give your child something to look forward to each week and help to keep a relaxed routine in place. We are limiting this club to 15 children. Each grade level will have only 5 students to ensure that each child is getting the proper instruction and individual attention needed. Parents, you are welcome to stay and find rest on the porch or in the garden to catch up on your own reading. At this time we are not able to accommodate children with severe learning challenges. Each child will be given a simple reading placement test to determine which reading level will be best for each student. Your child’s time at the Homestead will include the following.
If you would like more information or would like to come out and tour Bursting Blooms Homestead. Please give us a call at 423-933-4440 to set up an appointment. If you would like to register your child please visit the "summer event registration" page under the homestead drop down menu.
